Castle Rock State Park is located along the crest of the Santa Cruz Mountains and almost entirely in Santa Cruz County, with parts extending into Santa Clara County and San Mateo County.
Soquel Demonstration State Forest is situated in the Santa Cruz Mountains along California's central coast. The Forest provides the public access to the beauty of the coastal redwoods and the wildlife found in this habitat type.
Lexington Reservoir County Park is a beautiful and scenic 950 acre park and reservoir just minutes from the urban centers of Santa Clara County. The park includes the 338 acre man-made reservoir available for shoreline fishing. The County park is also part of a chain of parks and open spaces connected by the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve has six miles of hiking and equestrian trails that meander along cool perennial creeks and through 1,430 acres of a second-growth redwood forest, extensive areas of Douglas fir and oak woodland. Higher elevations offer expansive views of the Sierra Azul Range.
The gem of the Los Gatos parks, Oak Meadow Park is centrally located. A large 12 acre park features Access to Vasona county park, the Los Gatos creek trail, BBQ and picnic facilities, Billy Jones wildcat railroad, bocce ball courts, large grass field and large playground area.
