Helen Putnam Regional Parkk is a compact wilderness park southwest of Petaluma. Its 6 miles of trails cross grassy hillsides and weave through oak woodlands. Ridge-top trails provide panoramic views of the city and the southern Sonoma County countryside.
A visit to the Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park will bring you back to the largest privately owned adobe building in the 1830-40's. Rancho Petaluma Adobe is the name of a historic ranch house built from adobe bricks by order of Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo.
Shollenberger Park is a 165-acre wetland park located in Petaluma, California. Together with the 80-acre Alman Marsh, and 260-acre Ellis Creek which opened to the public in July 2009, a total of 505 acres are accessible to the public.
