Bolinas is an unincorporated coastal community and census-designated place in Marin County, California. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 1,483. It is located on the California coast, approximately 13 miles (21 km) (straight line distance) northwest of San Francisco, and 27 miles (43 km) by road.
