Lakeside is a small, unincorporated community located in San Diego County, California, in the eastern part of the county. It is located about 20 miles east of downtown San Diego and is known for its rural charm and natural beauty. The population was 20,648 at the 2010 census, up from 19,560 as of the 2000 census.

Barona Speedway is San Diego's only semi banked 1/4 clay oval track. The track is located 5.8 miles north of the Barona Casino on Wildcat Canyon Rd.

The motocross racing and practice facility attracts riders and families from all over the globe, year-round, with San Diego's world-renowned weather and attractions. Barona Oaks Sports Center offer over eighty acres of pure off-road fun for the entire family with two professionally groomed and watered tracks and a full-time beginner training area.
