The City Botanic Gardens is Queensland’s oldest heritage garden, initially established in 1828 as the food garden for the new colony of Brisbane. A living museum of plant collections, the Botanic Gardens display early heritage specimens through to present day exotic and native plantings.
Attractions at the Gardens include the Walter Hill Fountain, Bamboo Grove, Weeping Fig Avenue, Baldwin Lawn Playground, ornamental ponds and more.

Enjoy this tranquil green oasis surrounded by beautiful old trees, on the banks of the Brisbane River and just minutes from the city centre.
