Penryn is a census-designated place in Placer County, California. Penryn is just over 5.5 miles (8.9 km) northeast of Rocklin off I-80 and in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The population was 1150 at the 2020 census. Penryn’s known for its palm trees that line either side of English Colony Road. The old timers say that these were planted to attract people from the old country to move here.

Mandarin Hill Orchards, located in Penryn, California, is a family-owned citrus farm with a rich history spanning over a century. The Aguilar family, who have operated the orchard for more than 70 years, specialize in cultivating premium citrus fruits, notably their tree-ripened Satsuma mandarins. These mandarins are celebrated for being sweet, seedless, and easy to peel.
