The City of Dunkirk and the Chadwick Bay Region is located near the western-most point in New York State and lies directly adjacent to Interstate 90. More people enter New York State by way of Chautauqua County than any other entry point including LaGuardia Airport in New York City. The population was 12,743 as of the 2020 census.
The region lies within an 8 hour travel distance to almost two-thirds of the North American population. Dunkirk sits on Lake Erie, offering downtown lakefront marinas, accommodations, lake front parks, beaches, shops, restaurants and a small-city friendliness.
