Paro Valley is one of the most picturesque and culturally significant regions in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Located in the western part of the country, Paro Valley is known for its stunning natural beauty, historical and religious sites, and as the location of Bhutan's only international airport, Paro International Airport.

Bhutan is a small, landlocked country in the Eastern Himalayas of South Asia. It is bordered by India to the south, east, and west, and by China to the north. Punakha was the first capital of Bhutan and the country’s first king was crowned here in 1907. The Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungtang Dewa chhenbi Phodrang, is the administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha, Bhutan.
