Biddeford is a city located in York County, on the southern coast of Maine, approximately 15 miles south of Portland. The city has a rich history dating back to the early colonial period. It was settled in the 1600s and became known for its textile and mill industries during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Biddeford had a population of 22,552 residents in 2020.

Wood Island Light is an active lighthouse on the eastern edge of Wood Island in Saco Bay, on the southern coast of Maine.

East Point Sanctuary contains a short but spectacular trail along the perimeter of the point providing rare public access to this stretch of the Maine Coast.
