Loleta is a census-designated place in Humboldt County, California. Loleta is located 5.5 miles (9 km) south of Fields Landing, and 15 miles (24 km) south of Eureka at an elevation of 46 feet (14 m). The population was 783 at the 2010 census. Residents live in a central community area and rural outskirts.

The Headwaters Forest Reserve (Elk River Trailhead & Old Town of Falk Tour) was set aside to protect and preserve the ecology and wildlife of the area. Particularly the old-growth redwood stands that provide habitat for the threatened marbled murrelet, and the stream systems that provide habitat for threatened coho salmon.

Table Bluff County Park is a day-use only park located in Loleta, California offering great views of the beautiful coastline and the South jetty, a short walking trail and picnic tables.
