Joaquin Miller Park draws visitors from all over the city to enjoy hiking, jogging, mountain biking, and picnicking in its redwood groves, its meadows or creekside. | |
There’s a cool tot-lot for kids, an off-leash dog park and old and young alike attend musical and theatrical performances at Woodminster. There’s even an equestrian arena! This park offers something for everyone. One of the unique aspects of this park is the Cascade, its grand stairway and the pool below. In good times the expansive planters surrounding the pool (aka, the Dancing Fountainâ€) and those smaller planters bordering the grand stairway provide a beautiful backdrop for photos–especially wedding and graduation pictures–and a serene place to just relax. Sadly, those planters have mostly gone to seed.Together, we can clean up the planters, prepare them for new landscaping, and restore the area to its former beauty! |
