The Museum Exhibits contain a large assortment of artifacts from the Kern River Valley, the exhibits describe all aspects of life beginning before recorded times when much of the area was under sea waters. It has exhibits depicting the Native Americans who moved about this area for thousands of years before white settlers arrived.

Situated along the banks of the Kern River, at Kern River's Edge Campground Retreat, you will enjoy immediate river access for fishing, wading or whitewater rafting. It also offers on-site horseshoes, shuffleboard, and volleyball or can just relax in the shady Grove after a great day of adventures on the Kern River.
