Ba Vi is the westernmost district of Hanoi, one third of the natural area in the south of the district is the high mountains of the Ba Vi mountain range. The district center is 50 km northwest of Hanoi center. According to statistics in 2009, the population of Ba Vi district is more than 265 thousand people.
