Madison County is a county located in the north central portion of the state of Florida, and borders the state of Georgia to the north. As of the 2020 census, the population was 17,968. Its county seat is also called Madison. Madison County is a place of quiet country roads, clear natural springs, wild rivers, small town festivals, antebellum homes, and peaceful city parks.

Madison Blue Spring State Park is a Florida State Park, located approximately ten miles east of Madison on the west bank of the Withlacoochee River. This crystal-clear, first-magnitude spring is a popular spot for swimming and cave diving.
