Jikoji Zen Center is nestled in the the Santa Cruz mountains, 9 miles outside of Saratoga. If the mission of Jikoji were summed up in a nutshell, it would be “to help people meditate.” Buddhism is practice oriented rather than ideological. It is about meditating and changing our approach to the life we are living.

Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve has six miles of hiking and equestrian trails that meander along cool perennial creeks and through 1,430 acres of a second-growth redwood forest, extensive areas of Douglas fir and oak woodland. Higher elevations offer expansive views of the Sierra Azul Range.

Lexington Reservoir County Park is a beautiful and scenic 950 acre park and reservoir just minutes from the urban centers of Santa Clara County. The park includes the 338 acre man-made reservoir available for shoreline fishing. The County park is also part of a chain of parks and open spaces connected by the Bay Area Ridge Trail.

Summit House Beer Garden & Grill is a casual dining in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Enjoy a Brew with a View featuring Local Brews, Burgers, Live Music, Karaoke, & Games from the spacious deck and beer garden. The Gali Vineyard was planted in 2013 near the Pacific Ocean. The 46-acres of rolling hills are studded with towering redwoods in the cool Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Eighteen acres of grapes began as bench-grafted two year old bare root plants, thriving in the weathered sandstone soil covered by a topsoil layer of loamy shale that provides a perfect environment.

The Perrucci family is committed to crafting quality wines that are fairly priced and a pleasure to drink. It applies the latest agricultural practices in the vineyards and use only the very best grapes they can produce. The Family is “hands on” involved in all aspects of the winery, from vineyard to harvest, to crushing, to ageing, and to bottling.

Mason Taylor Ranch dry-farms a dozen different kind of apples, five kinds of pears, various kinds of peaches, nectarines and plums. Also numerous kinds of vegetables, citrus, persimmons, figs, raw honey, cider and eggs are available in season at the farm shed.

Los Gatos Farms is an Equine facility, with horse boarding, horse lessons & training. It includes kids summer camps, a live working lavender farm & special events; parties, pumpkin & pony rides in the fall, specialized horse camps & holiday gift boutiques.

Nonno’s Italian Café & Wine Bar is an homage to food and family. Nonno chooses only the freshest, highest quality ingredients for each dish on the menu. The wood-fired pizzas are famous, Froy’s Shrimp Ceviche is always fresh, and Nonno’s meatballs are a fan favorite!
