Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is located in north central Texas on the southwestern edge of the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Elevation ranges between 600 feet and 1,000 feet above sea level. As of the 2020 census, its population was 179,927. Its county seat is Cleburne. The primary water sources are the Brazos and Nolan rivers.
