This trail climbs up to Saddle Peak, offering spectacular views of the Santa Monica Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, and the cities of Malibu and Los Angeles. This segment can be accessed from other pieces of the Backbone Trail, including Fossil Ridge to the east and Piuma Ridge to the west.
