Carmel Valley is an unincorporated community in Monterey County, California. In 1946, Byington Ford and Tirey L. Ford Jr. developed the Carmel Valley Village, which included an airpark, shops, and homes. At the time of the 2020 census the population was 4,524, up from 4,407 at the 2010 census.
