The Tallac Historic Site is a group of three historic estates located on the shores of Lake Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe, California. The site includes the Baldwin Estate, the Pope Estate, and the Heller Estate, all of which were built in the late 1800s and early 1900s by wealthy families as summer homes.
Today, the Tallac Historic Site is a popular destination for visitors to South Lake Tahoe who are interested in learning more about the history and culture of the region. The site is open to the public for self-guided tours, and visitors can explore the beautifully preserved homes and gardens, as well as exhibits and artifacts that highlight the area's history.

The Baldwin Estate is the largest of the three estates and features a stunning 17,000 square foot mansion, as well as extensive gardens and outbuildings. The Pope Estate is known for its distinctive Scandinavian architecture and features a beautifully preserved interior, including original furniture and decor. The Heller Estate is the smallest of the three and is known for its charming cottage-style architecture and beautiful gardens.

In addition to the historic homes, the Tallac Historic Site also features a visitor center, gift shop, and a range of outdoor activities, including hiking trails, picnic areas, and access to the beach on Lake Tahoe. The site is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day and offers a unique and educational experience for visitors to South Lake Tahoe.
