Tatum's Garden is a public park located in Salinas, California. It is a fully inclusive playground that was designed to be accessible to children of all abilities, including those with physical and cognitive disabilities.
The park was named after Tatum Bakker, a young girl who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2, a rare genetic disorder that affects the motor neurons in the spinal cord. Tatum's parents, Shawn and Amanda Bakker, were inspired to create an accessible playground after realizing that there were no such facilities in the Salinas area.

The park features a variety of play structures and equipment that are designed to be accessible to children of all abilities. This includes wheelchair-accessible swings, sensory play areas, and equipment that is designed to help children develop gross motor skills. The park also has a variety of shaded areas and picnic tables for families to enjoy.

Tatum's Garden was built through the efforts of the Tatum's Garden Foundation, a non-profit organization that was founded by the Bakker family. The project was funded through community donations and grants, and it was built entirely by volunteers.

Tatum's Garden has received national recognition for its innovative design and its commitment to inclusivity. It has been featured in numerous media outlets, including the Today Show and People Magazine. The park is open to the public and is free to visit.
