Tochigi is a landlocked prefecture of Japan located in the Kantō region of Honshu. Tochigi Prefecture has a population of 1,897,649 in June 2023. Tochigi Prefecture is located approximately 100 km north of Tokyo. Utsunomiya, its most populous city, can be reached in about one hour by Shinkansen.
The northern Nasu and Nikko areas are home to a range of mountains with peaks more than 2,000 meters high, giving way to wide open plains in the south.

The exhibition features the long history of the mining since the 17th century,with many materials on display.
