Bonsall is a census-designated place located in the rolling hills of northern San Diego County. Home to the famous San Luis Rey Downs Training Center for thoroughbred racehorses and other equestrian facilities. The population was 3,982 at the 2010 census, up from 3,401 at the 2000 census.
