Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is a Japanese national government park located in Sapporo, Hokkaido. It is the only government-operated park in all of Hokkaido. The park area spreads over 395.7m hectares of hilly country and ranges in altitude between 160 and 320 m above sea level. Currently, 192.3m is accessible to the public. | |
No matter the time of year, the park has plenty of activities available for visitors and their families. During the summer, the park lights up in a colorful floral explosion. Fields of flowers bloom in the “Country Garden,” while a large playground awaits younger visitors at the Kodomo no Tani. In winter, Takino Snow World opens to allow visitors access to a variety of fun and family-friendly winter sports. Guests can ride down a 200 meter-long tubing course, snowshoe across the fluffy white fields, or hit the slopes for some skiing or snowboarding. |
