Uluṟu - Ayers Rock: Uluṟu is a large sandstone rock formation that is one of Australia's most recognizable landmarks. It rises approximately 348 meters (1,142 feet) above the surrounding desert plain and has a circumference of about 9.4 kilometers (5.8 miles). Uluṟu holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for the local Anangu people, the traditional owners of the land. Kata Tjuṯa - The Olgas: Kata Tjuṯa, also known as The Olgas, is a group of large domed rock formations located about 25 kilometers (16 miles) west of Uluṟu. It consists of 36 domes, the tallest of which is Mount Olga, rising approximately 546 meters (1,791 feet) above the surrounding plain. Like Uluṟu, Kata Tjuṯa holds cultural significance for the Anangu people. Aboriginal Culture and Heritage: The park is of great cultural importance to the Anangu people, who have lived in the region for thousands of years. Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park preserves their cultural heritage, including traditional stories, ceremonies, and rock art sites. Tourism: The park is a major tourist destination, attracting visitors from all around the world who come to witness the beauty of Uluṟu and Kata Tjuṯa. The park offers a range of activities, including walking trails, guided tours, and sunrise and sunset viewings, where the colors of the rock formations change dramatically with the shifting light.
