Wat Huay Yai is an ancient temple that is over 379 years old. It was built in the year 2186 B.E. by the villagers of Huay Yai sub-district. Later, it was granted permission to be established as a temple on November 5, 2191 B.E. It was also granted the Royal Visungkamseema (consecrated boundaries) by King Rama VI on May 5, 2386 B.E.
