| Potosi is a department in southwestern Bolivia. It is situated at an altitude of approximately 4,090 meters (13,420 feet) above sea level. The department's population was 856,419 in 2024. The capital is the city of PotosÃ. It is a barren, mountainous region, mostly wilderness with a vast plateau in the west, home to the world's largest salt flat, Salar de Uyuni. | |
