| Qeshm is an arrow-shaped Iranian island located in the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, with a surface area of approximately 1,500 km² (576 square miles). Separated from mainland Iran by the Strait of Clarence (Khuran), Qeshm is the largest island in the Persian Gulf. The island's population was 148,993 in 2016. The island belongs to Qeshm District, Hormozgan Province. | |
