Soledad is a city in Monterey County, California, United States. It is in the Salinas Valley, 21 miles (34 km) southeast of Salinas, the county seat. Soledad's population was 24,925 at the 2020 census, down from 25,738 in 2010.
The Astoria Shooting Range in Soledad, California, is a local outdoor shooting facility used for recreational shooting, training, and possibly events like target shooting competitions. It is Monterey County's Largest Shooting Range.
Mission Soledad is nestled in the heart of the wine country known as the Santa Lucia Highlands and there are three wineries within two miles of the mission. Los Padres National Forest is to the south of the mission and the Pinnacles National Monument is to the east.
