Vianden Castle is a medieval fortress located in the town of Vianden, in the north-eastern part of Luxembourg. The castle was originally built in the 10th century as a fortified castle, but was expanded and rebuilt several times over the centuries.
The medieval castle of Beaufort, which had never been entirely destroyed by any war, was built in three different periods between 1150 and 1650. Interesting details of the visit are the water tower, the machicolation and the massive walls in the oldest part of the castle. Folder and Cassero tasting included.
