Meadow Vista Park is a beautiful scenic park. It has a walk path that runs around the perimeter of the park. A small pond with an island… a place to relax and enjoy. Three shaded picnic areas around the pond are available on first come, first served basis.

Johnson-Springview Park is also home to many major recreation facilities including lighted baseball and softball fields, a soccer field, lighted tennis courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, restrooms, a sand volleyball court, a children’s playground, a roller hockey rink, a skate park and a brand new splash pad.
Camp Far West Lake is a 2,002 surface-acre lake with 29 miles of shoreline, rolling hills and many oak trees. The campsites sport picnic tables, barbecues and full hook-ups along with a lot of open area which allows for the perfect lake-side barbecue.
Giant Gap Campground is located on the north west shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir. This campground is set in a cedar and pine forest overlooking the reservoir, which provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, kayaking and boating under 10 mph. It is near the Foresthill OHV Trails, but riding out from the campsites is not allowed.
Camp Alta is a Christian camp and retreat center, located on the western slope of the Sierra Mountains of Northern California, in the small town of Alta. Alta's a great location for both winter retreats and summer camps. The camp is nestled among tall cedars and pines in the beauty of God's country.
Sterling Pointe Equestrian Staging Area provides bridle paths, an equestrian staging area (free of charge), and for your horse, a water trough and rinsing hose. For those on foot, multipurpose trails are available for hikers, scouts, and families alike.
Burton Creek State Park is located on the outskirts of Tahoe City. Six miles of unpaved roadway are available for hiking and cross-country skiing. Summer temperatures range from about 75 degrees during the day to the low 40s at night.
