The San Bernardino National Forest is a large forest located in Southern California, encompassing over 800,000 acres (3,333.87 km2) of land. The forest is located in the San Bernardino Mountains, and includes the city of Big Bear as well as several other small towns.
The World's Tallest Thermometer is a landmark located in Baker, California, United States. It is a 134-foot-high thermometer that was built in 1991 by the Young Electric Sign Company, and it is currently owned by the Baker Thermometer Corporation.
Keller Peak Fire Lookout is usually open to the public 9am - 5pm daily from Memorial Day to mid-November. Located east of Running Springs on Forest Road 1N96, this 5-mile road is paved all the way to the fire lookout. There are excellent views of the San Bernardino Mountains including three lakes: Arrowhead, Gregory, and Silverwood.
Deep Creek Hot Springs are natural hot springs located in the northern Mojave Desert section of the San Bernardino National Forest. The landscape surrounding Deep Creek is unique in a southern California context, and its recreation opportunities are valued at the regional and national levels. Thermal hot springs located here are unique and regionally important.
