The Bass Pond parking area in Red Bluff is located within the Paynes Creek Wetlands. It's a designated parking lot for accessing the Bass Pond, a popular area for hiking, bird watching, and fishing. The area also features a restroom and picnic tables under oak trees.
Lake Helen is a glacial lake or a tarn occupying a cirque at around 8,200 feet (2,500 m) in Lassen Volcanic National Park. Nestled at the base of Lassen Peak, this deep, blue lake offers one of the most dramatic scenic views in the park. The park highway winds around the lake's south and west shores and affords spectacular views of numerous volcanic peaks.

On Saturday, April 30, 2005, the 21st anniversary of the disaster that destroyed the heart of Red Bluff, ground was broken for a metal reproduction of the Cone and Kimball clocktower. The new clocktower, which includes a carillon, is approximately seventy-five feet high including the brick trimmed columns.
Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area is a beautiful oak woodland park nestled along the Sacramento River between Chico and Red Bluff. Mount Shasta, Mount Lassen, and the Trinity Alps loom in the distance.
