Tarzana is a neighborhood located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, United States. It is situated on the south side of the Santa Monica Mountains and is bordered by the neighborhoods of Woodland Hills to the west, Reseda to the north, Encino to the east, and the Topanga State Park to the south.
Vanalden Cave near Tarzana is one of the most unusual sandstone formations in the Santa Monica Mountains and is quite easy to hike to. Vanalden Cave is a sandstone den about 25 feet tall, 25 feet wide, and 50 feet deep.
Marvin Braude Mulholland offers some of the most accessible and user-friendly terrain in the Santa Monica Mountains. The park has expansive lawns, picnic areas, gorgeous city and mountain views, ample parking, restrooms, and potable water.
