Tokushima is the capital city of Tokushima Prefecture on Shikoku island in Japan. As of 1 September 2024, the city had an estimated population of 245,264 in 122,539 households. The city is situated in the north-eastern part of Tokushima Prefecture at the mouth of the Yoshino River. It features with several rivers and canals passing through.
Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami Hachiman, a deity often depicted as a warrior god, national protector, and patron of blacksmiths. It is the second most numerous type of Shinto shrine after those dedicated to Inari Ōkami. There are about 44,000 Hachiman shrines.
