The Plumas National Forest occupies 1,146,000 acres of scenic mountain lands in the northern Sierra Nevada providing recreational opportunities, sustainable supplies of wood, water, hydro-power and forage, habitat for fish and wildlife and diverse plant communities.
Lower Bucks Campground has 7 lakeside sites. The campsites are well separated along the shore. A Boy Scout camp is located nearby. The Scout camp is often rented to other youth and church groups. Fishing and boating are popular, along with swimming, hiking and mountain biking.
