Belize is a country located on the northeastern coast of Central America. It is bordered by Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Belize is the only country in Central America that has English as its official language, although Spanish and Kriol are widely spoken as well.
The capital city of Belize is Belmopan, but the largest city and main commercial hub is Belize City. The country has a population of approximately 400,000 people and covers an area of about 8,800 square miles.

Belize is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich biodiversity. It is home to lush tropical rainforests, wildlife reserves, and the second-largest barrier reef in the world, known as the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System. This reef system, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers excellent opportunities for snorkeling, diving, and exploring vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life.

The country also has several national parks and protected areas, such as the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Preserve, which is dedicated to the conservation of Belize's jaguar population. The vast network of rivers and caves, including the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave, provides opportunities for adventure activities like kayaking, cave tubing, and spelunking.

Belize has a diverse cultural heritage influenced by the Mayan civilization, European colonization, and African, Garifuna, and Mestizo populations. Visitors to Belize can experience the country's cultural richness through its music, dance, cuisine, and traditional celebrations.

Tourism is a significant industry in Belize, attracting visitors from around the world who come to explore its natural wonders, dive the reefs, relax on its pristine beaches, and immerse themselves in its vibrant culture.
