Atlantic Beach is a city in Duval County, Florida and the second largest of the Jacksonville Beaches communities. The population was 13,513 at the 2020 census, up from 12,655 at the 2010 census. It features over 20-miles of hiking and biking trails, a 60-acre lake for kayaking, 1.5 miles of beachfront and surfers won't want to miss.

Dutton Island Preserve is included in the Timucuan Trail parks and is Atlantic Beach’s largest park. Located just west of Mayport Road, visitors can capture views of unique wildlife at this park along the Intracoastal Waterway. The tranquil park boasts 9,000 feet of nature trails, 3 miles of hiking trails, a fishing pier and viewing deck of the marsh, kayak launch, picnic areas, camping spots and restrooms.

Jack Russell Park has two large play areas and is covered with trees and a large picnic pavilion. Other amenties include basketball court, 6 tennis courts, 2 racquetball courts, skateboard ramps, baseball fields and soccer fields. A concession stand is open on weekends.

Howell Park is a passive park that has more than 2,000 feet of trails, a picnic area, and ponds.
