Tulelake is a small city located in Siskiyou County, California, near the border with Oregon. The city is situated in the Tule Lake Basin, which is known for its fertile agricultural land. Tulelake has a rich history, with evidence of Native American occupation dating back over 10,000 years. In the 20th century, the area became an important agricultural center, with farmers growing crops such as potatoes, onions, and alfalfa. During World War II, Tulelake was the site of an internment camp where thousands of Japanese Americans were forcibly relocated and detained.
