Dunns River Falls and Beach Steer Town, Jamaica Last Updated: 05/22/2025 |
| Dunn's River Falls is a famous Jamaican waterfall that empties directly into the Caribbean Sea at the western end of an attractive white-sand beach, offering visitors a unique experience of cascading waterfalls and a scenic beach. Climbing the waterfalls is a popular tourist activity. There are also stairs, alongside of the falls, for those who are unable to manage the rocky, uneven terrain of the actual waterfall. | |
| At about 180 feet (55 m) high and 600 feet (180 m) long, the waterfalls are terraced like giant natural stairs though some incorporate man-made improvements. Several small lagoons are interspersed among the vertical sections of the falls. | |
