K'gari, formerly known as Fraser Island, lies along the southeastern coast of the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. The island's internationally significant natural features include a system of sand dunes, lakes, landmasses, and developing forests, whose scale and age are striking examples of ongoing geological and biological processes. The population was 152 in 2021.
