Hammocks Beach State Park is located near Swansboro, along the southern coast of the Outer Banks, also known as the Crystal Coast. The park primarily comprises Bear Island. It also includes three smaller islands, Dudley, Huggins, and Jones, situated in the nearby White Oak estuary. These islands can be reached by passenger ferry, private boat, kayak, or canoe.
