Greenville is an unincorporated community in Plumas County, California, on the north-west side of Indian Valley. The population was 1,026 in 2022, down from 1,129 at the 2010 census. Encompassed by rugged mountains, Greenville is one of many small towns that dot the picturesque and serene Indian Valley. Greenville was seriously impacted by the Dixie Fire in 2021βmany homes and businesses were lost and the community is in a time of transition and rebirth. Despite the fire, Greenville is still the largest community in the bucolic Indian Valley. Dotted with ranches, old barns and grazing cattle, the valley has quiet, scenic roads and beautiful vistas. |
