Bao Vinh Old Town is a historic town located in the Huong Tra district of Thua Thien Hue province, Vietnam. The town is situated along the banks of the Perfume River and has a rich history dating back to the Nguyen Dynasty.

The tower was accidentally discovered in April 2001 by a mining company. The tower was then located 5-7 m deep in the sand, 3-4 m below the sea level and only 120 m from the sea coast.

Vua Kien Phuc, whose birth name was Nguyen Phuc Ung Dang, was the 7th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty in Vietnam. He was born on February 12, 1869, and ascended to the throne in 1883 at the age of 14. King Kien Phuc was only king for 8 months, and became the most ill-fated monarch of the Nguyen Dynasty, when he died just 15 years old - 1884.

Vua Ham Nghi, whose birth name was Nguyen Phuc Ung Lich, was the 9th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty in Vietnam. He was born on August 3, 1871, and ascended to the throne in 1884 at the age of 13. His reign was short-lived and marked by resistance against French colonial rule.

Lang Xuong Thu, also known as the Tomb of Queen Mother Tu Du, is a historic tomb located in Thuy Bang Village, Huong Thuy District, Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam. She was the wife of King Thieu Tri, mother of king Tu Duc, so her tomb is within King Thieu Tri's Mausoleum.

Cu­a Trai or Ke Trai of which the main name is Dong Bac Mon (Cu­a Dong Bac), is located in the northeast corner of Hue Citadel, on the west bank of the Dong BaRiver. The arch was built in 1809 under the reign of King Gia Long, and the upper floor was built in 1824 under the reign of King Minh Mang.
