Nairobi National Park is a unique wildlife sanctuary located just 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) south of Nairobi's central business district, making it the only national park in the world bordering a capital city. The park was established in 1946, making it Kenya's first national park. It is approximately 117 square kilometers (45 square miles).
