The philosophy at Cholita Linda is to have fresh, vibrant food that not only tastes of Latin America but speaks to its tradition, its culture, and its warmth.

Several trails provide access throughout the preserve. The 31-mile East Bay Skyline National Recreation Trail, part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail system, traverses the preserve along the ridgeline between Wildcat Canyon and Anthony Chabot Parks. Round Top Road goes from the Sibley visitor center to the top of Round Top. Round Top Loop Trail circles Round Top peak. 

A pristine wooded canyon is protected in this 290-acre parkland near Merritt College in Oakland. Restoration is in progress along Rifle Range Creek along Leona Trail to reduce erosion and protect the riparian ecosystem. Dogs and humans are not allowed in the creek.

Built in 1928, the Fox Theater is an architectural masterpiece and former movie house that underwent a $75 million renovation to reopen its doors in February of 2009 under the direction of Another Planet Entertainment. Featuring jaw-dropping original details, state-of-the-art Meyer sound system and a capacity of up to 2,800.

Skyline Gate Staging Area is a gateway into the protected area spanning over 1000 acres of redwood forest and grassland. The scenery differs greatly from the entrance near Redwood Bowl. This starts on the outer edge of the park, and you can take the West or East Ridge Trails around the edges of the park. You will have views of the valley and trails lined with eucalyptus trees.

The Camron-Stanford House is the last of the beautiful 19th century mansions that once surrounded Lake Merritt. Today, visitors enjoy exhibits on topics of Victorian life & local history, and the opportunity to step back in time to 19th century Oakland.
