Dong Thap is a province located in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. It is situated in the southwestern part of Vietnam, bordered by An Giang province to the west, Can Tho city to the south, Vinh Long province to the east, and Long An province to the north. It had a population of 1,667,100 in 2022.

Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House (Nhà cổ Huỳnh Thuỷ Lê) is an ancient house located in Sa Dec, Dong Thap, Vietnam. In addition to the value of combining East and West architectural styles, the old house is also famous for its connection to a borderless love affair between a French girl (Marguerite Duras, later a writer) and a wealthy Chinese-Vietnamese gentleman (Huynh Thuy Le, the homeowner's son) in the early years of the 20th century.
