Shirakawa is a village located in Ōno District, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is best known for Shirakawa-gō, a small traditional village showcasing the gasshō-zukuri architectural style. Along with Gokayama in Nanto, Toyama, Shirakawa-gō is known as Shirakawa-gō. As of January 1, 2019, the village's estimated population was 1,630.
