Kings Canyon Waterfall is a short 5 minute drive west of downtown on King St. which dead-ends at the Kings Canyon Trail-head. This 25-foot cascading waterfall is most full in the Spring time but still is a beautiful sight in all seasons. From the Kings Canyon Trail-head it’s a short .25 mile hike to the falls.

Carson City is an independent city and the capital of the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 census, the population was 58,639. The majority of the city's population lives in Eagle Valley, on the eastern edge of the Carson Range, a branch of the Sierra Nevada, about 30 miles (50 km) south of Reno.
