Abruzzo is a region in southern Italy, divided into four provinces: L'Aquila, Teramo, Pescara, and Chieti. L'Aquila is both the capital of the Abruzzo region and the capital of the province of L'Aquila, as well as the second largest city. The other provincial capitals are Pescara, the largest city and main port of Abruzzo, Teramo, and Chieti. The population of Abruzzo is projected to be 1,268,430 in 2025.
