Roosevelt Island is a long, narrow island in the East River of New York City, situated between Manhattan Island to the west, and the borough of Queens, on Long Island, to the east. It's within the borough of Manhattan. It had a population of 11,722 as of the 2020.
Governors Island is a 172-acre (70 ha) island in the heart of New York Harbor, within the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is located approximately 800 yards (730 m) south of Manhattan Island, and is separated from Brooklyn to the east by the 400-yard-wide (370 m) Buttermilk Channel. It is a world unto itself, unique and full of promise.
Ellis Island is a historic site located in New York Harbor that served as the gateway for millions of immigrants entering the United States from 1892 to 1954. It is a symbol of America's immigrant heritage and is now part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument.
